American South Model United Nations

Theme: Peace and Stability through Diplomacy: In Search of a Better Tomorrow

February 7-10, 2008

American South Registration Packet

It’s the home of the Saints, jazz music, and jambalaya. It’s a city rebuilt on hopes, dreams, and determination. It’s New Orleans. The outstanding city will once again be home of the American South Model United Conference in February of 2008. A premier model united nations conference in the heart of the south, AmSouth MUN ‘08 will provide a unique experience to all delegates. The highly qualified staff will guide negotiations and debate in attempts to solve some of the most pressing issues our world is currently facing. The simulation truly promises to provide a realistic and diplomatic approach to a better understanding of the United Nations and its systems as a whole.

In addition to the academic integrity and political forum the conference provides, it also provides delegates with the unique opportunity of experiencing Mardi Gras at the peak of its events. While resolving international dilemmas and caucusing with delegates from each corner of the globe; parades, beads, dancers, bands, and full swing Mardi Gras will only be a Bourbon Street away. We encourage you to come and enjoy a conference that guarantees innovation, excellence, and excitement. Welcome to American South MUN 2008!

If you have any questions about the conference and its mission, please don't hesitate to contact me by phone at (504) 390-2677 or email at rstevenj@gmail.com. The 2007 AmSouth Secretariat and PAXMUN, Inc. look forward to seeing you in February!

Sincerely yours,

Ralph Johnson
Governor-General
